If you are driving through downtown Lantzville it is hard to miss the team at Studio AE Interior Design Inc. Situated next to the Lantzville Pub in the old “Lantzville Market” is the relatively new home base for Ashely Campbell and her quickly growing team of local interior design specialists. Studio AE is no stranger to the growing Foothills community. They were the interior design team behind “The Ridge” home in Phase One. The Ridge is a mountain ranch inspired residence with prominent wood features providing a warm and welcoming statement as you walkthrough the front door. Deeply saturated colours pair with various natural textures to create a rich interior. With large windows and expansive decks, this home captures the 180-degreeocean views the Foothills offers while flooding the home with natural light
The Ridge is a mountain ranch inspired home. The home’s interior is very wood, and timber forward with rich and darker leaning colours. The interior flow features main floor living with the primary suite also located on the main floor offering long term aging in place design.
Ashley’s team also worked on another Foothills home on Spences Way featuring a different design aesthetic with the same high-end attention to detail. As a craftsman cottage inspired residence, the comforting sage green exterior and meticulously planned landscaping greets you at the curb. Studio AE saw the client’s vision for a cozy and timeless house and made sure this was reflected both on the exterior and interior. From lot to living, Studio AE works with every client to customize each project to be a true reflection of their space. Whether a new build, renovation, townhome, or detached home Studio AE’s team works on projects big and small. They also were the team behind the new Drip Coffee Social design near the Nanaimo Regional Hospital.

Ashley’s Top 3 Design Trends to Look Out For in 2022:
- Natural quartzite countertops with warm grey undertones.
- Venetian plaster is the new wallpaper! It is an application used for hundreds of years in Europe primarily, which is seeing a resurgence and life in contemporary spaces.
- Porcelain slabs for shower walls, flooring and even cladding millwork doors. They are gorgeous, minimize grout lines and super easy to maintain.
