There is no shortage of options a short drive from The Foothills. We’ve rounded up some of the Foothills team’s favorite spots to dine in and around Lantzville!
First up, we have our team’s favorite: Rusted Rake Brewing. The team at The Rake offer farm-to-tap beer made with wheat and barley right from their own fields and a variety of food choices for lunch, happy hour, or dinner. Their sprawling patio is the perfect backdrop for live music and events, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for their line-up of events they host throughout the summer!
We were thrilled to see Nanoose Bay Cafe open their doors in the Fairwinds, Nanoose community. From the established ownership group from Water Street Café (Vancouver) and Qualicum Beach Café (Qualicum), Nanoose Bay Cafe opened their doors last month and is a one-stop destination for dining, coffee, and locally sourced provisions. The location features a daily coffee shop, opening EARLY for all of us early birds, in addition to the stunning waterfront restaurants serving lunch and dinner. In addition, the market serves as a one stop hub for all our favourite Central Island brands and even fresh produce and flowers at their Wednesday morning pop-up market.
For those craving a taste of Greece, Katerina’s West Coast Taverna is a short drive down to Lower Lantzville. From pasta to Greek delicacies, this local family restaurant is the easy dining experience for your summer. Best part, it is a short wander down to Sebastian Beach for a post meal dip! Dine in at Katerina’s and enjoy the patio this summer, or order take-out and enjoy a meal in the comfort of your home.

Also located in Lower Lantzville, their focus on sourcing the best local ingredients ensures a wonderful experience.
